Since last year, the shared bicycle market in each city has reached saturation, and many cities have clearly controlled the sharing of bicycles. However, the vehicle activity is low, and the disadvantages of artificially destroying the high rate of wear and tear have already appeared in various places. Due to the high operation and maintenance cost of shared bicycles, the maintenance and recycling of enterprises is not in place, resulting in the emergence of shared bicycle cemeteries.


At present, there are more than 30 shared bicycle cemeteries known throughout the country, scattered in more than 20 cities. Most shared bicycle cemeteries park more than 10,000 bicycles, including more than 100,000 bicycle cemeteries in the Tongan area of Xiamen. Among them, mainly man-made damage, unclaimed and detained cars. Referring to the mandatory bicycle compulsory scrapping standards issued by Beijing and Shanghai, the time limit for the retirement of a shared bicycle is 3 years, and the scrap will come in 2020, when more than 300,000 tons of scrap metal will be produced. The government has not yet established a sound producer extension responsibility system, and the recycling cost is high. Most enterprises do not pay attention to bicycle recycling. These scrap metals are facing difficulties in recycling.


The number of shared bicycles of the Mobai and ofo brands currently on the market is tens of millions. The Mobike bicycles use electronic locks, and theo uses the mechanical locks to replace the electronic locks with the previous generation products. Mainly based on electronic locks. Most of the current problems with bicycles have electronic lock failures, and electronic locks are seen as accessories that are relatively easy to wear out.


As the market becomes saturated, the total number of shared bicycles will only decrease and will not increase. The schemes introduced in various places also involve the issue of shared bicycle recycling. The government stipulates that enterprises can only launch new vehicles by recycling scrapped vehicles, and the number of new launches is limited, so as to gradually control the total number of shared bicycles. For the upstream supply chain, the previous blowout development will no longer exist. However, the bicycles that have been scrapped are recycled, and new products are put into the market. The development of the entire industry of shared bicycles will stabilize in the future.


What is worthy of recognition is that shared bicycles combine traditional old bicycle technology with emerging mobile Internet, NB-IoT IoT lock, electronic fence, satellite positioning, composite materials and other technologies to enhance technological innovation and create a large number of employment opportunities. If the shared bicycle company controls the quantity and solves the recycling problem, the whole industry will gradually enter a virtuous cycle.
